Location: Maryland

GTCO CalComp has a new position available for a Quality Technician. The incumbent will assist the Quality Supervisor in maintaining our Columbia location's Quality Program, with emphasis on inspection of work in process and finished goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

	Perform in process tests at various stages in the production process.
	Conduct analyses of failed PC boards.
	Assist the quality and manufacturing departments to resolve quality issues.
	Support incoming inspection/receiving staff as needed.
	Provide assistance during internal and external quality audits.
	Maintain data analysis regarding inspection results so corrective action may be pursued.
	Be an active member of Material Review Board (MRB).
	Participate in safety committee; actively work to uphold safety and housekeeping standards.
	Utilize Company computer systems as required.
	Participate in annual physical inventory.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with at least 2 years electronics work experience including PC board analysis is required. Some electronics coursework preferred. Work experience in quality management preferred.

Other qualifications include:

	Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
	Familiarity with standard quality control measuring instruments a plus.
	Good knowledge of quality assurance programs, preferably ISO based.
	Good Microsoft Office skills.
	Ability to communicate required information effectively to vendors, customers and employees.
	Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail.
	Contributes to building a positive team spirit within own department and with other departments.
	Regular lifting of 25 to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 70 lbs is required, plus some bending and significant walking and standing.
