Announces the Roll-Up III™ Digitizer
March 16, 2004–GTCO CalComp announced today the release of their new Roll-Up
III line of flexible digitizers. The Roll-Up III adds native USB
support for simplified connectivity. Featuring GTCO CalComp’s
exclusive Redundant Grid Technology, the Roll-Up III provides durability
and ruggedness in a truly portable digitizer design.
“Our customers in the construction estimation market have relied on
the quality, durability and performance of the Roll-Up line of
digitizers to provide them the flexibility to transport their digitizer
into any environment,” says Eric Timmons, president of GTCO CalComp.
“The release of the Roll-Up III demonstrates our commitment to
continue to enhance the product line, and to provide our customers with
the resolution, durability and flexibility they require.”
Available immediately in three sizes, 20”x24”, 30”x36” and
36”x48", the Roll-Up III is less than 1/10” thick, allowing it
to be easily rolled for storage or transport to various task sites.
Users can also select the pointing device they find most appropriate for
their work: a corded stylus or a 4- or 16-button cursor. Standard
interface options include serial RS-232 and USB. When connected to the
computer via the USB port, the Roll-Up III does not require a power
supply, further simplifying system set up. The Roll-Up III now features
a Plug and Play feature to simplify installation with many software
programs, however, Plug and Play can also be easily and quickly disabled
by using the proprietary GTCO SuperSet menu, ensuring compatibility with
the broadest array of application software in the industry.
